Early literacy

July 23 | Ballet dancers from the Ballare School of Dance bring Coppélia to life.  Recommended for children age 3-9.  Performance begins at 2pm.

July 9 | Live flute music & try your lips at trainer flutes!

July 30 | Birds of prey visit Wright Library. Audience participation encouraged. 

June 3 | Visit Miss Karen in the whimsical Unicorn Garden at Wright Library for unicorn-themed books and crafts.

The Newport Aquarium is bringing penguins to Oakwood! At the Penguins program, live African penguins visit the library with their human handlers to present information on the waddlers’ natural history, geography, diet, and more.

Shows will be held at 10:30am and 12pm. Each show is approximately 60 minutes long.

Everybody is welcome to build gingerbread houses out of LEGOs in the Children’s Room during regular library hours.  House proud?  Put it on display!  We love sharing what you create!
