Device Users' Group

The Wright Library Device Users' Group will meet the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month at 1:30 p.m. in the Library Meeting Room.  Users of any electronic media device are welcome, whether you have a tablet (e.g. iPad, Nexus), an ereader (e.g. Kindle, Nook), mp3 player (e.g. iPod, Sansa Clip), or even a smartphone (so many).  Bring your device and any passwords you will need to access content sources (i.e. Kindle users - Amazon account information).

Wright Library has recently acquired access to several new, exciting, and useful online resources for our patrons.  The most recent acquisition is full access to ConsumerReports.org.   This popular and authoritative source for consumer product reviews is now available from any Internet-connected computer with your Wright Library card number.  Just click on the image on the Library's homepage.

Doorway to Dayton – Wright Library Museum Pass Program

The Wright Memorial Public Library has introduced “Doorway to Dayton”, a museum pass program. Thanks to the Friends of Wright Library and local museum partners, family passes to various museums and historical attractions have been made available for loan from Wright Library. The participating museums and cultural centers which have generously donated free admission are Aullwood Audubon Center and Farm, The Dayton Art Institute, Dayton History and Learning Tree Farm. Dayton History includes Carillon Historical Park, Patterson Homestead and the Paul Laurence Dunbar House.

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services is pleased to announce a new Web site designed to be aOhio Here To Help one-stop source of information for Ohio’s unemployed workers and their families. Ohio Here to Help can quickly connect visitors to a wide range of information that can help them search for a job, find education and training opportunities, and learn about other resources to help them get through this difficult time in their lives.
