Ann Snively, Director at Wright Memorial Public Library, announced her retirement June 26th. She retired after 23 years with the library.
Ann spent more than 30 years working in public libraries. Before being named Director in 2003, she served as the Reference Services Coordinator at Wright Library. Prior to that, she spent 13 years as a Reference Librarian at the Owensboro-Daviess County Library in Kentucky. Her contributions to Wright Library include implementing Polaris, an integrated library system, developing the Wright Library app and managing the plans and development for the remodeling of the library.
Through the years, Ann has been an active member of the Oakwood Rotary. She often volunteered as a Rotary Reader at The Lange School in Oakwood.
Wright Library will be honoring Ms. Snively with a Retirement Reception on Wednesday, August 14, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. in the Library Meeting Room. Friends and well-wishers are welcome to attend.
