Have you always wanted to write a novel? Join others world-wide for National Novel Writing Month and set the goal of writing 50,000 words between November 1st and November 30th. Sign up at and start writing November 1st. Wright Memorial Public Library in partnership with Saxbys Coffee Oakwood / UD will host writers every Friday night in November at the library from 6:00-8:30 for a NaNoWriMo Write in. From 6-6:30 enjoy light snacks and Saxbys Coffee and mingle with other writers. 6:30-8:30 will be dedicated writing time with a weekly Prize drawing at the end of the evening. Bring your own laptop, use a library computer or the pen and notebook of your choice. However you write, this is a great chance to work on your novel and meet other writers.

Teens Collecting for Classrooms of Students in Need

Crayons to Classrooms
The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) at Wright Memorial Public Library is carrying out a community service project this summer. They are collecting for Crayons to Classrooms which provides basic school supplies at no cost to teachers in classrooms of children in need in the Greater Dayton Area. Crayons to Classrooms provides essential resources to teachers, thereby enhancing learning for students in need.
